"FOTOGRAFF" exhibit at Crewest Gallery - Saturday, May 3rd
A CANDID PERSPECTIVE FROM THE BACK ALLEYS OF LOS ANGELES
Curator Vyal One presents an insightful photojournalism show
LOS ANGELES, CA Crewest Gallery hosts FOTOGRAFF, an urban photojournalism exhibition with an opening reception on Saturday, May 3, 2008 from 7pm to 10pm. Organized by respected artist Vyal One this show offers a firsthand glimpse into the actions and minds of active graffiti artists. Most of the artists in this exhibit stumbled upon photography through the extensive documentation of their lives and endeavors. The camera is a tool for the graffiti artist often carried wherever one ventures. It becomes a part of the artist documenting his work and illustrating what artists must overcome on a daily basis. The show enables the viewer to take a walk in their shoes and discloses the harsh realities that come with being a graffiti artist these days. The artwork will be available for viewing during the Downtown Art Walk on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from Noon to 9pm.
Artists featured in the exhibit:
