The 7th Annual Cesar Chavez Walk on Saturday, April 2nd, 2005 at East Los Angeles College.

As the past education coordinator-I have seen 1,000's of students (K-12)--yes even the little ones being born into activism and consciousness at the walk and other events similar to this. This event is really a stepping stone into something larger for many of the youth and where they can learn about other social justice issues and so much more while honoring one of the movements leaders and heroes, Cesar Estrada Chavez.

As the current coordinator of the whole event I ask that you attend this event, bring others (your organization and/or school), and pass the word through listserves, email lists, etc. I ask this as a friend, fellow organizer, fellow artist, and activist.

REMEMBER: The struggle continues, there are farmworker families still struggling just to put food on their own dinner tables, "undocumented" farm workers still fighting for respect and recognition in the fields, there are still women being harrassed by foreman, there are still workers fighting for decent contracts, and so many more issues to be fought for. Please assist us and join the walk and Celebrate Cesar Chavez Day a day honoring all workers and all RAZA!
