Latin Rap Conference 2004 | Photo Report
The First Annual Latin Rap Conference was a complete success. The main goal of LRC 2004 was to bring together
everyone in the Latino/Chicano rap world for the creation of a platform from which we could step forward and take control of our industry. We want to catapult the strong Latin Rap industry into the forefront of the national media. We are now very close to making that dream a reality.
LRC 2004 brought the tastemakers and trendsetters of the Latin Rap community together. Through formal seminar discussions and casual conversations, the seeds of change and growth were planted. Topics covered in the discussions ranged from Marketing and Promotions to How to Get Music on the Radio and How to Get National Distribution for your music.
The three-day event proved to be a tremendous networking success as well. There was a great convergence of industry executives, press and A&R reps, as well as artists and DJs of all levels bumping heads on the Latin Rap Conference floors and rubbing elbows at the bars of the after-parties. The level of exposure LRC provided for artists is invaluable.
LRC 2004 was pleased to welcome pioneering companies such as Fuerte Group from New York, who specialize in Latino Music and Marketing, B&E Entertainment, and Mezcal Ent. from Houston. Other labels representing were Sicko Records, Thump Records, Eastside Records, Dopehouse Records, Riverbottom Entertainment,Ruthless Records,Universal Records, Sawed-Off Records and Sick Symphonies to name a few.
The after-parties were also as much a part of success of LRC 2004 as the daytime events. The first night featured performances by upcoming artists Raw B and Ese G and veteran acts Kemo and Knightowl. The second night�s party featured off the hook shows by Don Dinero and Bimbo and San Diego�s very own Mr. Lil One closed out the night with a crowd-moving performance.

LRC 2004 was honored by special guest panelists such as David Rolas, Cesar Chavez from Univision, Toy from Control Machete, Sick Jacken from The Psycho Realm, Sal Rojas from BrownPride.com, Elliot
Shulman from Dubcnn.com and Christina Alonzo from Urban Network. We were also blessed to have Latino legend Mellow Man Ace in the house and a well of industry knowledge in Fuerte Group�s own Richard Isaacson.

The seeds have been planted. The takeover is official. We will take our rightful place in the entertainment world through organization and power. It all starts here.
